Windows Vista Expression Web Always Saves Files With .htm File Name Extension

On a Windows Vista computer that is configured to hide file name extensions, when you save files using the Microsoft Expression Web, they are saved with the .htm file name extension.

Workaround Method

To work around the problem, perform the following steps:

• Open Windows Explorer, select Organize, and then select Folder and Search Options.
• Open the View tab on the Folder Options dialog box that is displayed, clear the Hide extensions for known file types checkbox, and then click the OK button.
