Need the Most Current Internet Explorer Version Fix the Error

You may encounter error messages similar to the ones given below when you try to open certain Web sites from Internet Explorer 7 Web browser.

You do not have the most current version of Internet Explorer.

The Web site supports Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 or later versions.

This error usually occurs because there are a few websites that have been designed to recognize Internet Explorer 6 as the latest Internet Explorer Web browser. This is the reason why, when you try to open these Web sites using the latest Internet Explorer 7 they do not recognize the Web browser.

The only way to resolve this problem is to ask the owners of such Web sites to incorporate support for Internet Explorer 7 in their Web pages.

To work around this problem download the User Agent String Utility from the following Web site and install it on your system. This utility enables you to open an Internet Explorer 7 window that reports its identity to Websites as Internet Explorer 6.

After you have installed the utility a shortcut will be added to the Start menu. When you launch the utility, it will open Internet Explorer 7 window that will appear as Internet Explorer 6 to Web sites and you can easily access them. After you are done, close all the Internet Explorer windows that you opened using this utility.
