slwinact.exe - Licensing Related Process
The slwinact.exe process was introduced in Microsoft Windows Vista. This exact function of this process is presently unknown. It appears to be related to the Windows Activation (licensing) subsystem, but very little additional information is available at this time. Slwinact.exe is a legitimate file when distributed as part of the Windows OS. It appears to be located in the standard C:\windows\system32 directory on default Vista distributions.
